Microbic activity is led by prof. Zofia Stępniewska.
She has led for many years research of Methanotrophic and Methanogenic bacteria at Catholic University of Lublin, KUL.
Her research led to discovery of metabolic paths in methanotrophs allowing production of important organic substances.
Prof. Z. Stępniewska is an inventor (with other co-inventors) of three patents in the field.
